People looked at someone in her position as though she'd broken through and made it to the easy part, just because she had a large and well-furnished corner office. But in all honesty paperwork could run her ragged, even worse than labor, since she didn't get to work out all her tense muscles.
So there was only one thing for it. Time to abuse some power.
She'd spent a while cleaning her office; it was now immaculate, with nothing valuable or confidential on any exposed surface. Then she'd sent for one of her subordinates - a Mr. F. Scifo. Oh, Flynn, that was a nice name. Yes, she was just reminding herself of it from the dossier on her tablet, but she knew who it was without the picture. She delivered and received documents from Mr. Scifo quite frequently, and though he was quite the fetching young man, and she was sure she'd seen him checking out how she looked in well-fitting business attire.
So she'd had him sent up for a performance review. Not that she had any interest whatsoever in his work performance. No, she was quite keen to review what else he was capable of. She could only hope he'd prove open to the idea.
